Hire a mobile app developer
who ships the whole thing.
I am Mikalai Siliuk, a senior independent mobile engineer. Ten years in iOS, Android and Flutter, 100+ products shipped. You get the person who writes the code and makes the architecture calls, not an account manager relaying your questions to someone you never meet.
What you are hiring
The four things founders tell me they wish they had asked about before signing with someone else.
The whole system, not just the screens
Founders budget for an app and need three products: the app people install, the backend nobody sees, and the panel their own team works in every day. I scope all three up front, so the second and third do not arrive later as a surprise invoice.
One senior engineer, end to end
Architecture, implementation, App Store and Google Play release, post-launch fixes. No handover between a senior who designs and a junior who builds, which is where most agency rewrites come from.
More hands when the scope needs them
Design, heavy backend or dedicated QA come from partners I have already shipped with. Same point of contact, same standard, no agency overhead and no lock-in.
Fixed scope, fixed price
No hourly ticket-taking. We agree the scope and the milestones, and you know the number before work starts. Monthly retainers for ongoing work, fixed-fee audits with a written deliverable.
What happens after you write
No form funnel, no discovery deck. Three steps, and you can stop after any of them.
You write, I reply
Tell me what you are building and where it currently stands. A paragraph is enough. I answer within 24 hours, and I will say plainly if it is not a fit.
A call about scope, not a sales call
We go through what the product needs to do, what can wait, and where the real risk sits. You leave with an opinion you can act on whether or not you hire me.
Written scope and a number
Milestones, what is in, what is explicitly out, and a fixed price. You see the reasoning before any money moves.
Proof you can check yourself
Every app below is live in a public store. Install one before the first call.
Before you write
Can I hire you as a dedicated developer rather than per project?
Yes. Monthly retainers work well when the roadmap is still moving and you want senior capacity without a hire. You get an agreed number of days per month, the same person every month, and no notice period beyond the current one.
How is this different from hiring a freelance app developer on a marketplace?
Most app developers for hire on a marketplace are selling you hours, priced by whoever bids lowest that week. Here you are buying a delivered outcome from one senior engineer with a public track record you can install from the App Store today. The scope is fixed, the price is fixed, and the person you talk to is the person who writes the code.
How long does a mobile app take?
Two to four weeks for most AI-augmented MVPs, with weekly builds you can install and test throughout. Larger production-grade scope ships in four to six weeks. AI accelerates the work that does not need senior judgment; architecture, edge cases and store requirements stay senior.
Do you work on an existing app, or only new builds?
Both. Taking over an inherited codebase is a normal engagement: it starts with a fixed-fee audit that gives you an honest assessment and a prioritised plan, so you can decide what to do with a real picture rather than a guess.
What do you need from me to start?
A clear idea of the problem and who has it. Designs help but are not required, and I bring a designer when there are none. What matters most is that someone on your side can make product decisions quickly.
Where are you based and which time zones do you cover?
Europe, working across EU and UK hours with a solid overlap into US East Coast mornings. English and Russian.
